Timadize

Lovatt's Timadize is a treatment applied to titanium and other exotic metals. This treatment uses a unique circuitry and revolutionary additives which work equally well with commercially pure titanium as well as its alpha-beta and beta alloys. The Timadize treatment creates a molecular structure change, and substantially reduces hydrogen embrittlement and eliminates galling and corrosion. The Timadize treatment causes no dimensional change, the treatment is all penetration. Carbide inserts and buttons(cutters) have been Timadized with great success. The treatment can give you almost any color of the rainbow on titanium and its alloys. Technicians have reported that the Timadize treatment eliminates galvanic action between Timadized titanium and aluminum . The Timadize treatment utilizes a temperature zone which permits coating heat-treated sensitive Beta and Alpha-Beta alloys. The Timadize treatment can be used on other exotic metals. For example: Carbide cutters have been Timadized with great success. The life of the cutters has been extended many times over untreated parts. The Timadize treatment has also been applied to zinc-aluminum alloys.
